Professional Goal: Building a career in public service as an advisor on employment creation and enterprise development for special interests groups including women, differently abled people and youth. She also aspires to further her education in the fields of development or behavioral economics

Hobbies: Rock climbing, Hiking, Yoga, Field Hockey, Graphic Design, and Volunteering. 

 

 

Merryl Omondi 

Merryl Omondi is a public policy professional with 3 years of experience in developing policies and managing projects in enterprise development. Prior to joining the @iBizAfrica team as an Assistant Manager, Merryl Omondi worked for the Ministry of Industry Trade and Cooperatives & the German Development Cooperation under the Make-IT in Africa Project, to facilitate access to skills, local & international markets and finance for over 350 digital innovators and entrepreneurs in Kenya. Merryl is passionate about youth leadership, inclusive governance, entrepreneurship and technology. She serves in various non-profit boards aimed at enhancing women’s and youth capacity to participate gainfully in the economy. Merryl Omondi also serves as a fellow in the Emerging Leaders Program for the ONE Campaign and a Trustee of NAO Foundation where she advocates for the eradication poverty and preventable diseases in Kenya. 

She studied Economics at the University of Nairobi where she specialized in development economics, public finance and public economics.
