Stephen Ng’etich is a software engineer at the Internet of Things (IoT) department – @ iLabAfrica research centre.
He is involved in building, designing, deploying IoT solutions with a focus on integrating such solution to LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network).
Stephen Ng’etich holds a BSc degree in Telecommunication from Strathmore University. He is also a certified Huawei cloud computing and routing and switching instructor.
He is currently involved in capacity building activities on emerging technology such as the Internet of things, cloud computing and data analytics in universities in the western region of Kenya and TWIGA project which aims to provide currently unavailable geo-information on weather, water, and climate for sub-Saharan Africa by enhancing satellite-based geo-data with innovative in-situ sensors and developing related information services that answer needs of African stakeholders and the GEOSS community.
